Meanwhile we have grown accustomed to regular visits to the Belgian embassy in Stockholm. Our special guest this time was former Stockholm mayor Anna König Jerlmyr. A big thank you to Anna, Ambassador Carl Peeters and the embassy team for another warm welcome.

The Centre for Nordic Business Studies went on a work visit to Atlas Copco in Nacka. We discussed company operations, HR and product matters. Thank you to the team: Dorna Eriksson Shafiei (VP and Head of Talent Management), Johanna Bolin, Sara Liljedal (SVP, COO), Jonas Mann (VP R&D) and Bo Hörnström.

We were pleased pleased to be able to visit Assa Abloy Group HQ in Stockholm. We received information on branding, talent management and product design. Many thanks to our hostess Mari Wegelius (VP and Head of Branding) and presenters Elin Eriksson (VP and Head of Talent Acquisition) and Perla Munhoz (Head of Product Design).

Meeting Margrethe Vestager, currently the EU Commissioner for Competition, is always a delight.

We had a great meeting with the team at Telia HQ in Solna. Various speakers illuminated us on the current and future operations of this great Swedish company. Thank you to our main host Dr Markus Messerer, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer and the speakers Fredrik Lundberg, Tor Habberstad and Staffan Eriksson.

During a work visit to Vattenfall HQ in Solna the Centre for Nordic Business Studies was informed on the current ambitions and plans of this company to secure a sustainable and fossil-free electricity generation. Many thanks to our host Oskar Ahnfelt, VP Public and Regulatory Affairs.

The Centre for Nordic Business Studies visited the offices of the City of Stockholm to find out more about the progress being made in the Smartastaden (Smart City) project. Many thanks to our hosts Claes Johannesson and Maria Holm.

In the period 2-5 May the CNBS will go on a mission to Stockholm with visits to City Hall, Vattenfall, Telia, Atlas Copco, Assa Abloy, KTH Innovation, Skanska and Business Sweden.
